Pauline Dwyer political papers, 1929-1940.

Correspondence and circulars sent by The New Haven Women's Democratic Club, the Democratic Town Committee in New Haven, Connecticut, the Democratic National Committee, and Connecticut politicians to Pauline Dwyer, vice-chairman of the 16th ward in New Haven. The letters generally announced upcoming fund raising and social events, followed by notes enclosing money for tickets an individual might have purchased. She also received personal letters signed by Wilbur Cross and Francis T. Maloney thanking her for her efforts in their campaigns. In addition, the collection includes a press release containing the text of a speech delivered by Wendell L. Willkie while running as the Republican candidate for President, 1940.
